Grade 6 is a year where academic, personal, and spiritual growth come together to shape our future school leaders. We are privileged to guide your children through a comprehensive educational journey that goes beyond the classroom.
In Grade 6, our curriculum at Our Lady of Mercy is designed to challenge and inspire students academically, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning. Building upon the knowledge established in earlier grades, we empower our students to explore new concepts, delve into meaningful projects, and develop the independence and responsibility necessary for success in the next stages of their education.
At the heart of our Grade 6 program is a commitment to instilling and reinforcing Catholic values. We believe that education should not only enlighten the mind, but also nurture the spirit. Through studies, assignments, experiences and engaging discussions, students will deepen their understanding of the teachings of Christ, fostering a sense of empathy, compassion, and a commitment to service.
As students begin to prepare for the transition into high school, we emphasize the importance of independence, leadership, responsibility, and ethical decision-making. Our dedicated faculty are here to mentor, guide and challenge students, helping them develop a strong moral foundation that will serve them well in their future endeavours. This mission is supported by our Leadership Club initiative.
Parental partnership is key to creating a supportive community that reinforces the values, concepts and expectations taught at school. Together, we aim to produce well-rounded individuals who not only excel academically, but also live out the principles of faith, service, and integrity in their daily lives.
