At Our Lady of Mercy School we believe that every child is a unique gift of god. In cooperation with families we are dedicated to fostering the development of spirit, mind, and body, guided by the teachings of Christ. Our community is committed to building a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, to empower all children to reach their full potential.
A positive school climate affects everyone associated with the school: students, staff, parents and the community. We believe that all people best learn and teach in an atmosphere of compassion, generosity, joy and laughter.
In addition to ensuring quality teaching and leadership, we have developed clear and consistent expectations which will be applied with love and understanding in order to achieve a caring and safe school culture. We believe that all students deserve a learning environment in which they are safe, respected and feel accepted.

Our school is a community where a child is received with open arms, where caring and love is our aim, celebrating the unique character and culture of each human being.
- Within the framework of our faith-based school community we strive for a sense of prayer and spiritual awareness through religious instruction, liturgy and personal example. Through our daily interactions it is our hope to develop a joyful self-disciplined child with sound Christian values and a sense of respect for oneself and others.
- With a sense of pride in ourselves and our school we strive to establish and maintain an atmosphere of learning which is rich in enthusiasm, challenge and excitement for new experiences.
- We, as Catholic educators, recognize the role of parents as the prime teachers of their children and welcome their interest, co-operation and involvement in the total development of the school community.
