Our Lady of Mercy school is always looking for opportunities for the students to demonstrate their talents and hard work. Annual participation in Happy Hands, Arts Craft Fair, and dressing the hallways are ways we these artistic masterpieces are presented.
The arts and drama program provides students with opportunities for creative expression through various mediums such as visual arts, music, dance, and theater. Students explore their artistic interests and talents while developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
The program integrates Catholic teachings and values into artistic expression, encouraging students to explore themes of faith, spirituality, and social justice through their creative work. This may include performances, artwork, and projects that reflect Catholic beliefs and values.
The arts and drama program enhances the school curriculum by offering a range of elective courses, extracurricular activities, and special events that complement academic subjects and provide interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

Drama
Every year, Our Lady of Mercy School stages their annual Christmas production. The entire school participates in the Christmas celebration, with students in grades 6 and 7 welcome to audition for acting, or participate in set design or stage crew roles. All students in grade 7 who wish to participate are given an opportunity to contribute in some capacity in this wonderful opportunity.
A talented group of staff and parent volunteers direct, choreograph and coach the students during rehearsals, beginning after Remembrance Day.
The beautiful costumes, sets and music, along with a cast and choir make this Christmas event an example of the talent and school spirit the Our Lady of Mercy School community possesses.
