Newsletter – 2021 September 22

Let us ask our Mother Mary to help us rediscover the beauty of being God’s children,
overcoming differences and conflicts to live as brothers and sisters.

Pope Francis

As we look forward to the school year with optimism, the staff at Our Lady of Mercy School will follow the Public Health Orders and the Ministry of Education directives and proceed with thoughtful caution, in respect and recognition of the fact that we have a richly diverse community, with differing comfort levels and perspectives.

We are looking forward to a rich and regarding 2021-2022 school year in which we will focus on our faith, student learning, making connections, building relationship, as well as, our wellbeing and having fun.

I would like to take this opportunity in advance to thank and welcome back our very active and involved Education Committee. Their work and support is instrumental in running an efficient school.

We are also very fortunate to have tremendous parent volunteers. We very deeply appreciate your support of our many participation programs, such as, supervision, hot lunch, office assistance, classroom cleaning, maintenance etc.

Parent-Teacher Information Night
This year there will be no in-person Meet the Teacher. Just like last year, each teacher will be sending out to their classroom parents information about who they are, class routines, class expectations etc. I hope you are looking forward to learning more about your child’s grade. Information will be sent by next Thursday, September 16th
