Music Information – Spring 2018

All of the OLM students have been working hard to prepare for some special musical performances. We have some important dates that we would like to share with you.

On Friday, May 4th the school choir will be singing in the Kiwanis Music Festival. This will be the first time that the choir will be appearing at this well-known yearly event. They will be performing at 1:25 pm at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Langley campus.

On Monday, May 7th the school choir will be singing in the Chancellor Music Festival. The choir will be performing at 11:30 am in the OLM gym.

On Tuesday, May 8th the Grade 4 and 5 students and the grade 6 and 7 students will be singing in the Chancellor Music Festival. The Grade 4 and 5 students will perform at 9:30 am and the Grade 6 and 7 students will perform at 10:30 am. Both performances will be held in the OLM gym.

This year Grades K, 1, 2 and 3 will not be participating in the Chancellor Music Festival, instead, we are trying something new and exciting. All of our primary students (Kindergarten- Grade 3) are preparing to present the musical Wing It. This is a fun, upbeat musical about four baby birds overcoming their fear of flying.  There will be two show times on Thursday, May 24th.  We will have an afternoon performance at 1:30 pm and an evening performance at 6:30 pm. We will be sending more information about this musical in the coming weeks.
