Clean Air Day – Wednesday, June 6th

Clean Air Day raises awareness and encourages action on clean air and climate change issues. Canadians can show their commitment by participating in activities that contribute to cleaner air, healthier communities and a better life for all.

Next Wednesday, June 6th on Clean Air Day, Karleigh Williams (Grade 5) will be collecting donations for the BC Lung Association. With a $2.00 donation, you will receive a package of decorated clothespins, hand-made and packaged by Karleigh. She is encouraging people to hang laundry to dry, to reduce energy and help save the environment by reducing greenhouse gases. Your entire $2.00 donation will be donated to the BC Lung Association to put towards the treatment and prevention of lung disease. Karleigh will be collecting donations at lunch time, and after school – and everyone who donates will be entered into a draw for a prize. There are 2 prizes to be drawn, which will be on display outside the school office for you to see. Note: donations over $20.00 will receive a tax receipt. Thank you!
