Congratulations Mrs. Bedwell!

At the Catholic Educator Conference Mrs. Bedwell was honored for achieving 25 years of teaching in the CISVA. Our Lady of Mercy is extremely blessed to have Mrs. Bedwell for 14 years. And we look forward to another 14! Below is a quote I feel aptly describes Mrs. Bedwell because she lights the classroom and students with her laughter, her care and concern for each child and her passion for learning.

“Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire.” –William Butler Yeats

iPads! iPads!

The school is abuzz with all the bells, whistles and joyous shouts as students and staff continue their ipad learning journey. iPads inspire creativity and engages students with content in interactive ways. iPads are taking OLM students and staff’s learning to a whole new level. In this learning journey we have discovered that for some apps ear buds are necessary. However, due to sanitary reasons we are asking for each student to bring a pair of ear buds (to be left at school) in a plastic Ziploc bag labeled with his or her name. Thank you for your cooperation.

The registration meeting will be held on February 28, 2012 at 7:00pm in the school gym. Registration packages for the 2012- 2013 school year will be handed out at the meeting. For any families unable to attend the meeting, the packages will be sent home the following day with the eldest student.

100 Day Thank You

The students and teachers wanted to say a big thank you to all the parents who volunteered at 100 Day. We couldn’t hold such an event without your help and support. Your time and effort helped make the day a memorable occasion for the students.
